The Innovation Group welcomed guests for the second annual presentation of The Future 100.
Coinciding with the online release of The Future 100, the Innovation Group welcomed press and guests to a live presentation of emerging consumer trends for 2016. Lucie Greene, worldwide director of the Innovation Group, presented trends across 10 key sectors at J. Walter Thompson Headquarters in New York.
Emma Chiu, the Innovation Group’s creative innovation director, spoke with Alex Friedman, co-founder of LOLA, a company that is reinventing traditional feminine care with natural tampons delivered through a customizable subscription service. She also interviewed Tina Hedges, founder of LOLI beauty, which gathers fresh and organic ingredients so that consumers can customize their own beauty products, rather than buying them from a store.
The evening continued as Shepherd Laughlin, director of trend forecasting for the Innovation Group, chatted with John Paul Benini and Donald Coolidge of CongiToys. Their flagship product is a talking dinosaur that uses cognitive technology to carry on conversations with children specific to their vocabulary, interests and other traits. He also spoke with Petr Novikov of asmbld. about a robotic floor that promises to adapt small spaces to specific temporary purposes with the touch of a button.
